An elegant white French Vis-à-vis carriage will carry you back in time on a nostalgic tour through the Historical Village of Granville, Ohio; “a New England Town” setting located in central Ohio, 30 min. east of Columbus. The carriage will await you in front of the beautiful white pillars of the Robbins Hunter Museum or pick you up at your doorstep or anywhere you wish. The Ladies are handed a fresh flower from Artiflora. The narrated ride will begin with the carriage ambling past some of the many 1800’s era homes or down the charming tree lined Broadway street in front of Granville’s own shops and pubs, many listed with the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce.
The ride can be a nice 15 min. or up to one hour. The village has an interesting past and just celebrated its 200 yr. bicentennial sponsored by the Granville Historical Society, including much history of the Granville Inn and Buxton Inn both known for wonderful hospitality, food, pub and rooms.
East of the broadway businesses, the Enchanting Brynn Du Mansion rises in the background of the grass field where Sunday afternoon polo games may be seen. An hour will take you from the village there for a picnic.
